This video of Adele singing ‘Someone Like You’ at the Brit Awards 2011 has been everywhere of late.
Her ‘comeback’ album 21 (if you could really call it that, since she was performing throughout the period between 19’s release in 2008 and now) was recently at number one in 14 countries. The world’s gone crazy for this girl.
But despite incredible overplay but most of the web, I can’t help myself from coming back to this clip time and time again.
There aren’t many artists that could hold a room of this size, with nothing but a piano to support them. It’s a stunning performance, beautiful because of its simplicity.
Simply stunning, I couldn’t agree more. I get goosebumps each time and never tire of it (and I do tire pretty easily when I keep a tune on repeat for too long).
She’s one charismatic crooner.
