Bibio’s Lovers’ Carvings (Bruno Be & Eddie M remix)

British born Bibio was thrown onto the world stage when his song ‘Lovers’ Carvings’ featured on a Google commercial for Project Glass, and just like the Apple effect – it became a huge hit.

This remix by Bruno Be and Eddie M adds a distinct ‘driving in the sunshine’ feel. Bookmark for June.

Coachella resurrects Tupac in holographic form

The title of this post pretty much says it all.

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s Coachella performance featured not only Tony Yayo, Warren G, Kurupt, 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa and Eminem – but none other than Tupac himself, brought back to life by the power of holographic technology.

Just which company did the deed I’m not sure, but whoever it is will be eating out on this for the rest of their working life no doubt. (UPDATE: It was AV Concepts)

I’m still yet to be convinced by the ‘mindblowing’ nature of said holographic technology, but in a festival environment – when you’re in the dark, you can’t see all the minute details and you’re excited about a performance – I’m sure this was incredible. Even the video makes it looks pretty realistic.

Simian Mobile Disco unveils ‘Put Your Hands Together’ plus video

Simian Mobile Disco is about to drop a new album, called Unpatterns, on May 14th.

The track ‘Seraphim’ has already been leaked, and there’s already been a video for ‘Cerulean’, but here’s a third teaser for ‘Put Your Hands Together’.

Responding to comments on the YouTube upload of the video for the song, the band says that:

Since people are asking – It’s a series of scenes of people going over their obsessive-compulsive type behaviours… as to how that refers to our music, on our new album we’ve been inspired by ideas of repeated loops and patterns breaking down and decaying over time. And the process of making electronic music lends itself to obsessive-compulsive tendencies..”
